Husband and I went to see Cowboys v. Aliens Saturday night. It was surprisingly good. The first time I heard the title, I thought it was a joke or something. Then, I watched the trailer and the "Why it Crackles" for it and thought it actually might be a good movie. Well, it was good. They did a great job of keeping it light and not trying to make it too serious. I mean come on, it's cowboys fighting aliens, so making it too serious would be bad. The movie also had lots of great special effects, but it was not the kind of thing where the special effects were all the movie had (i.e. Sucker Punch). The movie also had good writing and actors. I'm not going to give away the plot, but the movie does involve cowboys fighting aliens. Would I recommend it to a friend who likes girly, romance movies? NO. Would I recommend it to someone who likes action movies? YES. It was fun. Go watch it.
